Audaus OffLine in Albenga

Disconnect from digital to reconnect with people, places, and your creativity.
From 17 to 19 April , the Chiostri di Vadino (Former Convent of San Bernardino) will host the first Ligurian edition of Audaus OffLine , the interdisciplinary cultural format created by artist and designer Silvio Ippati , with project management by Elena Emi Gilardi in collaboration with the Municipality of Albenga.
More than an exhibition, OffLine is a participatory experience that brings together art, drawing, photography, design, craftsmanship, and human connection around a symbolic gesture: at the entrance to the event, participants are invited to hand over their phones, which will be turned off and safeguarded for the duration of the event. A physical and figurative space in which to experience the present without digital distractions, rediscovering craftsmanship, creativity, and direct dialogue.
After the festival's previous stops in various communities from Northern to Southern Italy, OffLine is renewing its presence for the Ingauna edition, which will feature, for the first time and to give greater space to the local community, an artistic residency in the area from April 7th to 19th.
In the days leading up to the event, in fact, Ippati will cross the city meeting citizens, cultural organizations, institutions and will immerse himself in the symbolic places of the area .
This residency will become an integral part of the creative process: the artist will gather inspiration, stories, and urban landscapes that will be transformed into the original works he or she will create during the residency. Informal meetings and opportunities for dialogue with the community will also be organized, as well as evenings dedicated to the creation of the works, during which the public will be able to witness the artistic process and gain an up-close look at the project.
The journey will culminate during the event with a final exhibition that will give back to the city the results of the residency, transforming Albenga itself into a source of inspiration and protagonist of the works .
Art on wood and live performance
During the stay, ten original pen-and-ink works on wood will be created using the artist's distinctive technique. The works will narrate the views, atmospheres, and identities of the area observed and reinterpreted during the weeks of the residency.
One of the works will be donated to the Municipality of Albenga, as a permanent testimony to the project and the dialogue between the artist and the city.
On April 17, 18, and 19, visitors will be able to admire the exhibition of works created during the artist residency, attend Ippati's live drawing performances, take part in a free-themed creative competition with a final award ceremony, and interact directly with the artist during the creative process.
All captured in a Polaroid shot that becomes the tangible memory of a moment lived without screens.
An experience for all generations
Designed to engage all age groups, Audaus OffLine offers an open and inclusive environment where creativity becomes a shared language between generations. Children, young people, and adults can experience the value of craftsmanship and "Artisan Intelligence" together, rediscovering the pleasure of creating and spending time together away from the digital realm.
Art as a space for reconnection
Audaus OffLine was born with the goal of transforming digital disconnection into an opportunity for human and cultural reconnection. Through art, relationships, and participation, the project invites us to slow down and embrace the immersive experience as an authentic moment of encounter.
