Free guided tours of the historic center
Discover the historic center of Albenga, one of the most important and fascinating in Liguria, second in size only to Genoa. An extraordinary heritage that holds treasures that visitors and residents sometimes don't fully understand, and that deserve to be appreciated and shared.
For this reason, a series of guided tours will be organized to explore the area, a unique place where the past blends harmoniously with the present and where art, history, and culture are felt in every corner.
The calendar will kick off in March with four free events , accompanied by an expert guide who will illustrate the history, monuments, and curiosities of the towers and alleys that are part of everyday life in the city but which are too often observed without realizing their value.
The visits will take place on the following dates:
Saturday, March 7, 4:30 pm
Sunday, March 22, 4:00 PM
Saturday, April 4, 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, April 11, 4:30 pm
The meeting point is at the IAT Tourist Information Office, located in the Civic Tower. Participation is free, but reservations are required at turismo@comune.albenga.sv.it .
Starting in May, guided tours will become paid and will offer the option of choosing between the Old Town and Via Iulia Augusta itineraries, with evening tours also available. This is an opportunity to experience and appreciate the city's historical and cultural heritage through quality itineraries, designed to showcase and appreciate Albenga's richness in every season.
The Oddi Foundation also organizes guided tours of the archaeological complex of San Calocero on the following dates:
