Established in the fifties of the 20th centuries, it is housed in the 16th century Palazzo Peloso-Cepolla.It contains wine amphorae, provisions, helmets, utensils and equipment dating back to 1st century B.C. found inside a Roman cargo boat shipwrecked off the coast of Albenga. A collection of apothecary vases of the Hospital of Our Lady of Mercy has been on show  in the Museum since 1957.The visit is completed by the permanent exhibition of “Prehistory in Valpennavaira” attached with educational and explanatory notes, which was inaugurated in the year 2000.
