From April 12 to May 4, the historic center of Albenga is transformed into an explosion of colors and scents with Fior d'Albenga 2025. This year the theme is "Habitat - When nature becomes wild" , an invitation to rediscover the bond between man and nature through 12 artistic flowerbeds that celebrate the strength and beauty of the plant world.

Twelve spectacular floral installations, curated by local companies, institutions and associations, will transform the squares and alleys of Albenga into a living garden. Each flowerbed will tell a unique aspect of the relationship between man and nature, evoking wild landscapes and extraordinary biodiversity. Here in detail:

The flowerbeds of the Fior d'Albenga Association will be located in Largo Doria and Piazza San Michele, with a Madagascar theme. The flowerbed in Piazza San Michele will feature 6 3D statues of Madagascar characters (Melman, Alex, Gloria, Marty, King Julien, Maurice). There will also be another flowerbed around the monument in Piazza 4 Novembre (horseshoe shape) with an educational trail with all the plants present in the Ingauno territory.

Piazza IV Novembre - The Jungle Book

The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling is one of the educational pillars of the scout method, especially for cubs (7/11 years). Through the adventures of Mowgli and the other characters, children learn fundamental values such as loyalty, respect for the rules, courage and brotherhood. The Jungle represents an environment full of challenges, just like the growth path of the little ones, and each character (Akela, Baloo, Bagheera, Kaa) embodies a precious teaching: wisdom, strength, friendship, and discipline. The law of the Jungle thus becomes a guide for scout life, teaching children the value of community and commitment on the path to their personal and community growth. The flowerbed is intended to be an interactive path, to be experienced and not just looked at. It is only by crossing it that you can notice and appreciate details and nuances; here, we also wanted to recall a characteristic element of older children: constructions. With wood and ropes, Explorers and Guides (12/16 years) learn pioneering techniques in the open air, develop manual skills and problem-solving abilities.

With the writing 110 and with an exhibition of historical photos around the village house, we also wanted to remember that this year marks the 110th anniversary of the presence of the scout movement in Albenga, born in 1915. Together with AGESCI (Italian Catholic Guides and Scouts Association), MASCI (Italian Catholic Scout Adult Movement) has also been present in the city since 1986.
