Albenga is preparing to transform into a large garden and open-air play area.
From April 4th to May 3rd , 2026, “Fior d'Albenga” returns for its 23rd edition, with a theme that unites nature, creativity, and imagination: “Fior d'Albenga – the game blooms. Give free rein to your imagination.”
This edition will bring an original and engaging story to the historic center, where flowers and aromatic plants become tools for play, discovery, and connection, transforming squares and urban spaces into surprising settings designed for all ages.
In 2026, Fior d'Albenga will transform the historic center into a large open-air play space , where play is understood in the broadest sense: not just rules and tables, but movement, color, imagination, strategy, memory and relationships.
The flowerbeds will become veritable green stages, inspired by games of yesterday and today, reinterpreted through geometric shapes, paths, symbolic pieces, color contrasts, and narrative suggestions. A dialogue between nature and imagination that will ensure an unforgettable experience for all ages. Fior d'Albenga 2026 is an invitation to rediscover play as a universal language, capable of making the city flourish and transforming urban spaces into places to experience, explore, and remember.
As every year, the flowerbeds in Largo Doria and Piazza San Michele will be created by the Fior d'Albenga Association and will have the theme “Buildings and Bricks” , while the second flowerbed in Piazza San Michele will be looked after by the Municipality of Diano Marina as part of the “Aromatica” event.
To complete the exhibition, the Municipality of Albenga has published a public notice on its official website for expressions of interest in the creation of the other flowerbeds.
