Palazzo Oddo and its Foundation

The Gian Maria Oddi Foundation manages the historical and cultural heritage of the city of Albenga. The Foundation is available to the public from Tuesday to Friday from 10.30-12.30 and 15.30-18.30 at the headquarters of Palazzo Oddo in Via Roma. The palace takes its name from the illustrious family who owned the palace of the same name. It was first a residence and then a boarding school for the boys and now it is the Albenganian cultural center. Its 4000 square meters host the “Magiche Trasparenze” exhibition, the “Simonetta Comanedi” Civic Library , the “Musikalische Wunderkammer” , exhibition halls, conference rooms and the San Carlo Auditorium .

Workshops

The "Magiche Trasparenze" exhibition is completed by an educational classroom that allows you to experiment with numerous in-depth workshops to visit the museum, specific for primary and secondary schools, such as "A lunch with the Romans", "The scents of the matron" , "The coins of the Romans", "The rules of the Gladiators" and many others.

Auditorium San Carlo

The foundation also directly manages the San Carlo Auditorium , a showcase for all the most important events and meetings relating to or close to the Ingaunian territory. The San Carlo Auditorium is located next to Palazzo Oddo, a multipurpose room with state-of-the-art equipment, with its 94 seats and its overall capacity capable of accommodating up to 130 people, it is the ideal place for courses, masters, cultural meetings, musical events, small concerts, screenings and presentations. "
