If you like beaches of fine sand mixed with gravel, Albenga is a great choice! Almost a kilometer and a half long, it has both free and equipped beaches. Whichever beach you choose, the fascinating view of the Gallinara Island is guaranteed, from the mouth of the Centa river it even seems to touch it.

Experience the sea

Summer in Albenga lasts longer than in other places in Northern Italy; between March and April the first cabins are assembled and the first tourists peek out under the sun . From May to October, tourists from all over Europe alternate.

In the blue sea of Albenga, thanks to the constant wind and the protection offered by the mountains, there are always the right conditions for lovers of water sports such as sailing, kite, windsurfing, kayaking. The Gulf is an ideal refuge during most of the year.

Outdoor sea

Winter sea

Taking advantage of the microclimate of the Albenga plain, it is possible to enjoy the beaches even in the cold months. Weather permitting, there will be umbrellas and deck chairs and even boats to go out to sea. And the trials (the famous sea baths frequent especially between Christmas and Epiphany) are commonplace along the entire coast and not too prohibitive.

For those traveling with the family there are playgrounds that are always open , and out of season suntan lovers have access to the whole coast; an endless strip of sand without interruptions while the absence of cabins ideally links the sea to the city.

The period of aperitifs as well as dinners by the sea never stops: mullet, stockfish, cod, mackerel and horse mackerel, bluefish, turbot, anchovies and sardines are always present winter dishes.
