Albenga XIII century - "The Nundinae and the ancient crafts"
Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July Albenga returns to the 13th century with markets and crafts in the squares, a historical parade , entertainment and itinerant shows organised by the districts, including a medieval table with an itinerant formula.
Two days designed to explore the daily, economic and social life of the 13th century, with:
- Medieval markets and artisan workshops
- Glimpses of daily life and ancient professions brought to life by the Neighborhoods
- Travelling thematic shows
- The ancient city center of the 13th century recreated in Piazza San Michele
- Evocative historical procession with period costumes, reproduced with rigorous fidelity to the period recalled
- The great ceremony of nomination and investiture of the Captains of the Neighborhood teams
Big news for 2025: the Medieval Deschi of the Neighborhoods
A new itinerant formula designed to accompany visitors on a real journey of taste among the flavors of the 13th century. A food and wine route through the Districts, where you can rediscover typical dishes of the era, recalled with care and passion. Teaching, workshops and demonstrations on July 12th and 13th
- The medieval lunch of the San Siro district, Sunday 13, with medieval dishes, animated and narrated by the neighborhood figures with the collaboration of ARTE COQUINARIA. Throughout the lunch, there will be animations and themed shows, with musicians, jesters and costumed figures who will make the experience even more immersive and fun for adults and children. - The Children's Palio with horses and medieval games organized by the San Giovanni District
- The Unicorn Nutcracker and the Jar-Breaker Knight, curated by the Sant'Eulalia District
- Demonstration of archery, practice of “Knock Down the Towers”, demonstration with practice of tug of war and a workshop activity for children “Paint Your Shield” in the Piazza San Francesco area by the Quartiere Santa Maria
