Piano competition
The Municipality of Albenga organizes the 37th Piano Competition “Città di Albenga” - 14th Memorial “Maria Silvia Folco” . The competition, open to pianists of all ages, aims to promote musical culture and introduce young people to the study of music and its diffusion.
The competition will take place in Albenga at the San Carlo Auditorium in Palazzo Oddo, in via Roma 58 on 3-4-5 January 2025 .
The competition is divided into a single section and 11 categories:
- cat. “First notes”: up to 6 years of age (born from 01/01/2018 onwards)
- cat. “A” – up to 7 years (born between 01/01/2017 and 31/12/2017)
- cat. “B” – up to 8 years (born between 01/01/2016 and 31/12/2016)
- cat. “C” – up to 9 years (born between 01/01/2015 and 31/12/2015)
- cat. “D” – up to 10 years (born between 01/01/2014 and 31/12/2014)
- cat. “E” – up to 12 years (born between 01/01/2012 and 31/12/2013)
- cat. “F” – up to 14 years (born between 01/01/2010 and 31/12/2011)
- cat. “G” – up to 16 years (born between 01/01/2008 and 31/12/2009)
- cat. “H” – up to 18 years (born between 01/01/2007 and 31/12/2008)
- cat. “I” – Up to 21 years (born between 01/01/2003 and 31/12/2005)
- cat. “Excellence” – from 22 years old up to 35 years old (born between 01/01/2002 and 31/12/1989)
